Dolpa is a truly isolated corner of Nepal, bordering the Tibetan plateau and located inside the Shey Phoksundo National Park. Trekking in Dolpa provides you with panoramic views of Kanjiroba peak, Phoksundo Lake and Dhaulagiri massif and rewards you with the opportunity to observe some of the area's abundant wildlife including the snow leopard, blue sheep, musk deer, Himalayan Thar and many more. Dolpa is scenically and culturally attractive, providing high passes, rare flora and fauna and sweeping views enriched by the traditional Tibetan culture. The Dolpa trek is one of the hardest in Nepal, and takes you through beautiful pine and juniper forest before emerging at the lake Shey Phoksundo.
