Trekking in the Everest area of Nepal with Adventure Thamserku has been a brilliant experience. Company Director Dawa Geljen Sherpa and his team proved themselves as excellent organisers; they made sure that our party acclimatised correctly, accommodation was always ready at the completion of the day with an excellent meal to sustain us.

The company’s high altitude experience and medical knowledge was a reassuring factor in our sometimes demanding trek. The encouragement, friendliness and sense of fun will be a lasting memory along with the sights and sounds of their amazing country. Many thanks to Dawa and team

Despite being in our seventies, and well travelled the experience of the last month trekking in Nepal has been a highlight in our lives. Adventure Thamserku a local trekking company worked superbly as a team to meet the needs of 15 people, and goals that we thought that we as a couple may not meet were achieved.

We were surrounded by encouragement from the Sherpa guides who met our every need willingly with patience and a high level of professionalism.
Being a Nepalese company we were given insights and many opportunities to understand and appreciate the local culture.

All meals were excellent with our own cook overseeing all food preparation. The safety of our group was supported with modern equipment for communication, medical problems and altitude sickness; the senior Sherpas were trained in mountain first aid.

We always felt secure and well catered for in all aspects, and thoroughly recommend using Dawa and his team at Adventure Thamserku as your guiding company.

I trekked Everest base Camp, Cho La Pass, Kala Pattar with Adventure Thamserku as our guides,

The director of the company Dawa Genjen Sherpa accompanied us, I am a retired medical specialist and I was impressed by Dawa’s medical knowledge, he also has great love and information relating to Himalayan plants, animals and trees.

I strongly suggest to you to engage Adventure Thamserku if you want to have a wonderful trekking experience.

Having never been to Nepal, I was not prepared for the stunning landscape through which Dawa expertly guided my small party. His knowledge of the local cultures, traditions, flora and animals meant that our group was immersed in an amazing journey….

Dawa’s strong network of contacts immeasurably increased our own experience of this fantastic geography – we were treated to the best local food and had the pleasure of superior rooms… Dawa welcomed us into his own family – the highlight being afternoon tea with his mother, wife and son in Lukla during a ceremonial blessing by local monks…

We were continually impressed by the measures Dawa took to ensure the safety and welfare of his own porters….. Dawa’s constant monitoring of both our physical and mental/emotional condition through the higher altitude terrain brought strong reassurance and boosted our own morale… It is testament to Dawa’s close supervision that each member of our party successfully completed all of the amazing highlights – whilst members of an alternative group did not …

I would not hesitate to recommend Dawa for any guided treks through Nepal… His professionalism and manners are an outstanding example of the service levels other trek guides should seek to achieve.

I have known Dawa for 3 years and have been on 3 treks with him… Dawa’s experience makes the treks go smoothly. His greatest concern is for us, his clients and he takes nothing for granted when leading a group….

Tents, ground cover sheets, foam underlay, boots, altitude chamber and where needed ropes are all of the highest standard. The staff he employs have the same attitude as him, and nothing is too much trouble for them, whether it be taking a picture or helping you over a section of slippery rocks…. I highly recommend him and his company Adventure Thamserku.
